Geomant's SMS for OCS enables SMS Text message to be sent directly from Microsoft Communicator.
SMS text messages can be sent to one or more contacts – ideal when Communicator contacts are off-line.
Geomant SMS for OCS works with customers' own SMS gateways or using Geomant's SMS web-service.

Components

Server application: The server application interfaces with OCS 2007 and initiates outbound SMS text messages.

Client application: The client application allows SMS text messages to be initiated from the contact list or during a conversation.

SMS API: Integrates with most commercial SMS gateways and third-party SMS providers.

Geomant SMS Services: For customers without an existing SMS gateway, Geomant's SMS service provides an on-line 'pay as you go' service for delivering outbound SMS text messages anywhere in the world. There is no requirement to invest in a separate SMS gateway or integrate OCS with such a gateway. Messages can be delivered so they appear to come from the initiator's mobile phone, allowing replies to be sent direct to that mobile phone.
